Casey J. Morrigan Associates has worked both independently and jointly with other firms and individuals in providing evaluation, planning and research services for California-based program funders and managers. The company is based in Sebastopol, a small community in the western part of Sonoma County, California.
The principal of the company, Casey Morrigan, began her career in the late 1970s, when she worked for community-based nonprofits focusing on women’s health issues. She volunteered at one of the earliest domestic violence shelters in Washington, D.C. in 1978 and remains strongly supportive of innovative, community-driven approaches to local issues. She views her evaluation and planning services as a means to support quality in community-based programs and her policy research as a way of sustaining excellence in these programs on a broader scale.
She holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, in Health Policy and Administration. Awarded an Assembly Fellowship to work in the California Legislature, she focused on indigent health care and health insurance. She has also worked in the managed health care industry and for a consortium of foundations that support collaborative and creative approaches to serving children and families.
Community Involvement:
Ms. Morrigan serves on the parent board of a charter middle school in Sebastopol, and is chair-elect of a North Bay hospice community advisory board. Whenever she can, she volunteers at an interfaith food pantry for families in need.
She is a member of the American Evaluation Association and the American Public Health Association.
